Florida Vacation 2015

In June we went to the Gulf with my entire (all 7 kids!) family for a beach vacation. It was a week of fun, sunshine and chaos! Drew and Harper loved the beach even more this year, venturing out into the waves with Nate (or Andrew sometimes did alone I think to scare me to death!) and Holland enjoyed long naps on the beach snuggled up on whoever was holding her. We had absolutely perfect weather (sunshine every day!) and while vacations with kids are anything but relaxing these days, we had a great time watching all the cousins play together and enjoying the beautiful  beach every day!

Harper and Leena were the best of friends the entire week!
Perfect blue water!

Grandpop made pancakes just about every morning for these kiddos!
Beautiful house we stayed in thanks to my parents!
Uncle Mark, Julianne and Harper venturing into the ocean.
June and Mason (6 months old here) dip their toes in the ocean for the first time!

Erin took Harper and Leena on countless walks down the beach so I could hold Holland while she slept.
This little rascal is 1 1/2 and into everything…kept us all on our toes the whole week but she sure is cute!

Andrew continued his yearly tradition of digging and constructing in the sand of course.
The house had a pool too, which was nice for when babies slept inside during the afternoon. Nate and Mark took turns tossing Andrew back and forth, which he absolutely loved!

Annual night in Seaside for dinner and ice cream…the logistics of getting all of us out the door, there and fed were impressive to say the least!
Professional dad in action here…juggling ice cream and a newborn:)

Please, kids…go run off some of that energy!
Every morning Harper wanted Aunt Laura to french braid her hair and this was basically the only 10 minutes of the day she sat still.
Group shot of everyone…only 356 attempts to get (most) everyone looking at the camera!

3 screaming babies are not easy on the ears but they sure are cute:)
Laura can balance 2 babies like a pro!

Playing in the waves with Grandpop

Evening run down to the shore

Holland clearly had a stressful first vacation to the ocean.
Josh, Nate and Mark grilled up some amazing shrimp for dinner one night. While Harper wouldn't touch it, Andrew ate his weight in shrimp!

By the end of the week, Grandpop was worn out...

Summertime!

Holland's first hike…Horine section at Jefferson Memorial Forest. She slept the whole time!
1 month checkup…stats: 9 lbs and 22 inches!
It is so much fun to take all 3 kids to the doctor! I feel like we hit up the pediatrician's office at least once per week between well checks and sick visits.
All 3 of my cuties!
We hosted a neighborhood cookout at our house to say good-bye to some longtime neighbors of ours. We are sad to see them go even though they didn't move too far away!

Another hike at Jefferson Memorial Forest down to the pond.
Make a silly face!
6 weeks old and her first real smiles!
Fishing at the Parklands (Floyds Fork)…Harper caught her first fish!

Andrew turns 5!

I cannot believe our sweet boy is 5 years old! We only had 3 celebrations:)
First, Omi and Opaw came up and we did exactly what Andrew requested: Dinner at Mellow Mushroom followed by Pie Kitchen for dessert.
Opening gifts from Omi and Opaw…the cement mixer was a hit of course!
And he loved the scooter they gave him too!
Birthday breakfast at Wild Eggs…pancakes galore for these two!
My parents came over to cook out a few days later. Here he is eating his cookie cake from that night.

Opening presents from Granna and Grandpop.
Party # 3 was a morning with friends at our house…and another cookie cake of course!

 Sweet friends eating cake
Opening presents from us on his actual birthday: A Lego Trash Chomper, books, and a new bike!
5 year check up at the doctor…I still remember taking a picture of him at 1 month old here too. Time flies!
